Students can request a recorded recap and complete the timed quiz independently. Coaches provide quick feedback so your child stays on track.
Each class is 60 minutes: a 15-minute timed quiz, followed by 45 minutes of advanced problem-solving (geometry, algebraic thinking, stats & probability).
No mandatory homework. Core prep happens in class. We share optional stretch sets for students aiming at higher contest tiers.
Many Grade 6 students are ready by late fall. We look for accuracy on multi-step problems, comfort with ratios/fractions, and basic algebra/geometry fluency. Coaches advise individually and share targeted practice when a student is AMC-ready.
For most students: 2–3 core contests (e.g., Math Kangaroo, Noetic, MOEMS). Strong Grade 6 students may add AMC 8 and/or Mathleague.org. We help select a balanced plan to avoid overload.
We build from fundamentals (equally likely outcomes, counting models) to compound events, and use visual tools (tables, tree diagrams) plus targeted mini-quizzes and error analysis so concepts stick.
A short placement set and teacher notes determine cohorts. Students can move cohorts during the year when they’re ready for more challenge.
Absolutely. New students receive a recap pack and a quick orientation so they can integrate smoothly into ongoing topics and routines. We encourage students to join as early as they can to give sufficient time for preparation.
