PSAT 8/9 Math Genius Program
Then Master the PSAT.
PSAT Preparation Should Start With Math Mastery.
Practice the test again and again.
Students often begin with practice tests, shortcuts, pacing, and test-taking techniques before their mathematical foundation is truly strong.
Build the mathematics first.
For most of the program, students develop deep mastery of algebra, functions, geometry, statistics, probability, ratios, and mathematical problem solving. Then they learn to apply that strength to PSAT questions.
Learn
Understand mathematical concepts deeply.
Master
Solve increasingly challenging problems.
Build Fluency
Develop speed, accuracy, and confidence.
Apply
Use those skills on PSAT-style questions.
Perform
Practice confidently under test conditions.
Approximately 85% of the program focuses on building genuine mathematical ability. Intensive PSAT preparation comes after students have developed the foundation needed to benefit from it.
Build the Foundation. Then Prepare to Perform.
Build a Powerful Mathematical Foundation
Students systematically develop mastery across seven major mathematical areas, with extra time devoted to algebra, quadratics, functions, and geometry.

Why 27 weeks? Mathematical strength takes time to develop. Students receive more instructional time in algebra, quadratics, functions, and geometry so they can build genuine understanding before moving into intensive PSAT practice.
The Math Is Strong. Now We Shift Gears.
Build Mathematical Ability
Concepts, fluency, application and problem solving
Convert Ability Into Performance
Strategy, timing, accuracy and test execution
PSAT Question Types & Strategy
Students learn how PSAT questions are structured and how to identify the mathematics behind a problem quickly.
- Recognize common PSAT question patterns
- Identify what a question is really asking
- Choose an efficient solution method
- Use estimation and elimination intelligently
Timed Practice
Students gradually work under time constraints so speed develops naturally without sacrificing mathematical accuracy.
- Timed PSAT-style question sets
- Build pacing awareness
- Know when to move forward
- Reduce unnecessary calculation time
Practice Tests
Students apply everything they have learned through partial and full PSAT Math practice experiences.
- Full and partial practice sections
- Realistic timed conditions
- Mixed-topic problem sets
- Build confidence with test-day format
Targeted Remediation
Practice results are used to identify specific weaknesses, then instruction is directed toward closing those gaps.
- Identify recurring weak areas
- Revisit underlying concepts
- Correct inefficient solution methods
- Strengthen topics before test day
We Don't Just Ask, "Was the Answer Wrong?"
Students learn to understand why they lost the point. That allows us to fix the actual problem instead of simply giving them another practice test.
The goal is not to take as many practice tests as possible. It is to systematically eliminate the reasons a student loses points while building the speed and confidence to perform under test conditions.
More Than PSAT Prep. Real Mathematical Growth.
Math Mastery Comes First
Most of the program is devoted to building genuine mathematical strength before intensive test preparation begins.
Two Live Classes Every Week
Students receive consistent, structured instruction throughout the program rather than depending primarily on self-study.
Concept + Application
Students learn not only how to solve a problem, but also why a method works and when to use it.
More Time Where Math Gets Harder
Linear equations, quadratics, functions, and geometry receive additional instructional time for deeper conceptual development.
PSAT Practice at the Right Time
Intensive timed preparation comes after students have developed the mathematical foundation needed to benefit from it.
Preparation Beyond PSAT 8/9
The same skills support future success in PSAT 10, PSAT/NMSQT, SAT Math, Algebra, Geometry, and advanced mathematics.
By the End of the Program, Your Child Will Have
Stronger mathematics, greater problem-solving confidence, and the experience needed to approach the PSAT strategically.
Strong Algebraic Fluency
Solve equations, systems, inequalities, quadratics, and functions with greater accuracy and confidence.
Powerful Problem Solving
Translate word problems into mathematical relationships and choose efficient solution methods.
Geometry & Data Confidence
Approach geometry, coordinate geometry, statistics, probability, and data interpretation systematically.
Greater Speed & Accuracy
Work more efficiently while reducing unnecessary calculations and careless errors.
PSAT Test Experience
Become comfortable with PSAT-style questions, timed practice, pacing, strategy, and test execution.
A Stronger High School Foundation
Carry stronger mathematical reasoning into future courses, standardized tests, and advanced STEM learning.
The PSAT 8/9 is one milestone. Your child's mathematical ability will matter for years after the test is over. This program is designed to prepare them for both.
Who Is the PSAT 8/9 Math Genius Program For?
This program may be ideal for your child if they...
- Are preparing for the PSAT 8/9
- Want to become substantially stronger in mathematics
- Need greater fluency in algebra and problem solving
- Find multi-step word problems challenging
- Understand concepts in class but struggle to apply them to unfamiliar questions
- Want structured preparation instead of last-minute test cramming
- Need stronger speed, accuracy, and mathematical confidence
- Are looking ahead to PSAT 10, PSAT/NMSQT, and SAT Math
This is not a short-term crash course.
The Math Genius Program is designed for families who value sustained mathematical development.
- 32 weeks of structured learning
- Two live classes each week
- Concept mastery before intensive test prep
- Regular practice and problem solving
- Long-term preparation, not memorized shortcuts
If your child needs only a brief review immediately before the test, a short PSAT preparation course may be more suitable.
PSAT 8/9 Is the Beginning. Not the Destination.
The mathematical foundation students build now supports each stage that follows.

Questions About the PSAT 8/9 Math Genius Program?
What grade levels is this program designed for?
The program is designed primarily for students preparing for the PSAT 8/9, typically students in Grades 8 and 9. The right fit also depends on the student's current mathematical level, so families can book a 1:1 information session if they would like guidance.
Is this mainly a PSAT test-prep program?
No. That is one of the biggest differences in this program. The first 27 weeks are focused primarily on building deep mathematical understanding, fluency, and problem-solving ability. Dedicated PSAT preparation becomes the major focus during the final phase.
How many live classes are included?
Students attend approximately 64 or more live classes across the program, generally with two live classes each week. The exact total can vary slightly based on the length of the final PSAT preparation and remediation phase.
Does my child need to already be advanced in math?
No. The program is designed to systematically develop the mathematical foundation students need. A student should, however, be ready to attend classes consistently and practice regularly so they can progress through the curriculum.
Will students solve actual PSAT-style questions?
Yes. PSAT-style applications are incorporated into the learning, and the final phase includes dedicated PSAT question practice, timed sets, practice sections, strategy, and error analysis.
Why not start timed PSAT practice from the beginning?
Because speed is much more valuable when it is built on top of genuine mathematical understanding. Students first learn how to solve problems correctly and efficiently. Then we gradually add time pressure and PSAT-specific strategy.
Does this program also help with future PSAT and SAT exams?
Yes. The algebra, functions, geometry, statistics, probability, and problem-solving skills developed in the program provide a stronger foundation for later preparation for PSAT 10, PSAT/NMSQT, and SAT Math.
What happens if my child has gaps in certain topics?
The curriculum is structured to develop the major mathematical areas systematically. During PSAT practice, recurring mistakes are also analyzed so that concept gaps and weak areas can be identified and revisited through targeted remediation.
How much practice should students expect outside class?
Regular practice is an important part of developing mathematical fluency. Students should expect to spend time between live classes practicing assigned concepts and problems so that learning becomes consistent rather than limited to class time.
What if I am not sure whether this is the right program for my child?
You can book a free 1:1 information session with our academic team. We can discuss your child's current grade, mathematical level, goals, and whether the PSAT 8/9 Math Genius Program is the right fit.
