About MathCON

About the MathCON Competition

MathCON provides students with an opportunity to apply mathematics in a competitive environment while developing problem-solving ability, mathematical reasoning, and confidence.

What Is MathCON?

MathCON is a mathematics competition designed to challenge students with competition-style mathematics questions. It encourages participants to apply concepts they have learned in school while also developing strategies for solving unfamiliar problems.

The competition gives students an opportunity to demonstrate their mathematical knowledge, logical thinking, accuracy, and ability to work through challenging questions under competition conditions.

MathCON can be a valuable experience for students who enjoy mathematics and want to challenge themselves beyond regular classroom assignments. Preparing for the competition can also strengthen fundamental mathematical skills and introduce students to more challenging problem-solving techniques.

01

Problem Solving

Students work through challenging mathematics questions that require them to apply concepts and identify effective solution strategies.

02

Mathematical Reasoning

Competition problems encourage students to analyze information, recognize relationships, and reason logically toward an answer.

03

Competition Skills

Students develop accuracy, time management, strategic thinking, and confidence while solving mathematics problems in a competitive setting.

04

Mathematical Confidence

Participating in challenging mathematics can help students become more comfortable approaching unfamiliar problems and exploring different solution methods.

Why Participate in MathCON? MathCON gives middle and high school students an opportunity to challenge their mathematical skills, experience competition- style problem solving, and build stronger reasoning and problem-solving habits.
